…for stopping by the official web site of NPC national level Figure competitor ‘Dawn Melanie’. I hope you learn more of whom I was, and how I’ve grown … into what I am today!

Never an athletic type, I entered the Fitness arena for the simple management of stress. I continued for aesthetic purposes, but, have since realized the vast health benefits that I derive from being an active participant of this “sport”.

Fall 1998, I began experiencing complications of a chronic illness yet to be diagnosed for six entire months. Spring 1999, four years prior to the start of my Figure competition career, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a debilitating disease of the nervous system that remains without a medically proven cure. Four years (and counting) subsequent to diagnosis, I am doing better than ever (physically, mentally and emotionally). I still have my “moments”, but, at a minimum, I hope this site will become a source of inspiration to anyone who doubts his/her ABILITIES.
