I grew up surrounded by the African landscape and its extraordinary plant life, and that love runs through every piece in this collection. From the fierce geometry of aloes to the regal splendour of the King Protea, I am endlessly fascinated by the beauty and resilience of the flora that defines this land. My botanical work ranges from intimate detailed studies that celebrate each spine and unfurling leaf, to larger landscape pieces that capture the wild poetry of the African bush in full bloom. These pieces are painted on canvas, board and even reclaimed wood - because the medium should be as alive as the subject.
